This shoot was a special one. I’ve watched this kid grow up over the years and become a great musician and songwriter. I’m proud of Mr. Daniel Redmond and was honored when he asked me to photograph him for the cover of his CD. Something special always happens when you have that combination! This was shot on my Nikon FE with Kodak Tri-X 400 film.

Happy Birthday Dr. KingJanuary 14, 2012

While visiting Montgomery AL I was fortunate to visit the home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. What I didn’t know was that Dr. King would walk right down the street from his home to get a quick haircut. To my surprise, the barber that gave Dr. King his final haircut before his trip to Memphis where he would be assassinated was still in the same spot servicing clients in the very same chair Dr. King sat in. I took a few shots of these special spots. The barber you see is the barber I spoke of earlier. I regret not having his name. But I did shake his hand! These were all shot with my Nikon FE and Ilford HP5 film.

Once again, I was delighted to share in the wedding of one of my roommates, Tyler, and his beautiful bride, Amber. Here a few shots I managed to get while pulling double duty as a groomsman. What a beautiful day it turned out to be for a great couple. Congrats to the both of them!
